Doomsday as StrongMad...Awesomeness.

I second that.

Awesomeness. Wait...is that a Daylek (sp?) that black superman is smashing? When did the Dr Who-verse invade? :)

I think that your stick figures actually looking almost as good as Rich Burlew's violates some kind of rule...

*snort*

That is too bloody hilarious. I almost busted a gut at Doomsday/Strong Mad.

And may I say I really like your use of perspective?

You, sir, are my new god.

Jon: Two years running makes Strong Mad cameos a tradition, methinks.

Alainadragon: That would indeed be a Dalek. It's easier to copy other people's robots than design your own, it seems. Plus, cameos rock.

Lurker: you mean the "no shamelessly ripping off Rich Burlew" rule?

Will: thanks, I was worried that this one wasn't that funny. And how's this for perspective: that moment, in someone else's crossover, has determined Hal Jordan's entire history for the last fifteen years.

Neverask: I demand tribute! TRIBUTE!

I was just going to geek out about Strong Mad and a Dalek, but looks like everyone else got there first. Great work, Tom.

Lovely, lovely lovely.

Very nice, the art is almost too good for the contest.

This was really great! Hey, how did you do the "Hunter/Prey" lettering on a slant like that?

Matthew E said...

There's no way you did that in 30 minutes, never mind 30 seconds.

Good though.

Jason said...

Holy smokes! You won...Congrats.

Superboys jazz hands in the second panel just about killed me. Kickass!

There are so many things I loved about this! GET THAT DALEK!

Seriously, the ripped Superman costume was perhaps the best.

Yeah, I know everyone loves DoomsMad (StrongDay?), but I love the Image Comics logo on the side of Superman's grape shooter.

Also, the unexplained Battle Suit doing the robot.

Was just talking about this whole incident the other day with somebody and couldn't remember some details. This was an awesome recap.

Nay, an IMPROVEMENT!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. On to questions:
Tim C: I'm working in Photoshop. After typing out the words normally, I hit the arrow tool and went close to the corner of the text box. The arrow turns to a curved double-arrow tool, which allows me to rotate the text box a bit.

Matthew E: I was under the impression that it was supposed to be 30 seconds to read, not write and draw. But, you know, I'm like the Flash with crayons :).

Steven: I'm glad someone mentioned that. That's my second-favorite gag in the strip (right after the Hemi joke). Also, it shoots Nerf balls.

Rich: Oh man, if you want details, it'd be the 30-hour recap. "So, Supergirl, who was a shape-shifting superpowered clone of Lana Lang created by a pocket universe Lex Luthor was dating our universe's Lex Luthor II, who was actually a clone of the original Luthor, with the original Luthor's brain, posing as his own Australian-raised son after faking his death...

Your strip is hilarious! I agree with the gal on the isb that said the Coast City panel alone was gold. Congrats man! Can we expect some new 30 sec's soon?
